9 Moons follows Ángel, a trans man nearing the end of his transition. Life is falling into place: he has a new job as a personal trainer, the support of his family and every reason to look forward to the future. Then a medical check-up reveals that he is pregnant. As the months pass, Ángel must reconsider the future he had imagined for himself. Caught between his own wishes and other people’s expectations, he begins to explore what fatherhood and masculinity might mean to him.
