London, 30 September – CINEMIEN is proud to announce a new collaboration with ODEON Cinemas to bring Pride Nights to the British audience. Starting from 6 October 2025, screenings will take place every first Monday of the month in 10 ODEON cinemas, with the programme initially being rolled out at selected locations.
The first films on the programme are Love & Revolution (a bold drama about friendship, freedom and visibility), Born For You (a heart-warming story about family and unconditional love), OUT (a raw exploration of the coming-out process) and The Bearded Mermaid (a playful tale about self-expression). Cinemien, founded 50 years ago by pioneering women, has built a lasting legacy in distributing films by and for women, as well as LGBTQI+ cinema throughout Europe. With Pride Nights, CINEMIEN is now also putting down roots in the United Kingdom, in line with its mission to amplify diverse voices on the big screen.
“Cinema has always been a place of discovery, reflection and community. With ODEON Pride Nights, we are proud to show as many stories from our community as possible – stories that are recognisable, inspiring and worth being seen,” said Ian van der Putten, Managing Director of CINEMIEN.
“Making the cinema a place where everyone feels at home is close to our heart at ODEON. We are delighted to introduce Pride Nights and celebrate the power of diverse cinema and storytelling. We are excited about the collaboration with CINEMIEN, which has been a leader in inclusive cinema for more than five decades, to highlight stories that reflect the people we serve and the communities we are part of,” said Karen Liu, Senior Film Booker at ODEON.
With ODEON Pride Nights, ODEON is strengthening its community initiatives under the banner Open For All. More information is available on the ODEON website. OUTtv, the European LGBTQI+ channel, brings nearly twenty years of experience in reaching LGBTQI+ and open-minded audiences. This ensures that Pride Nights brings people to the cinema to experience something unique that only comes into its own fully on the big screen, while at the same time actively promoting the power of cinema.
